As we have been given extra time for the project, I now have the opportunity to experiment a bit more in my project. I decided to try out animating my own gifs using Photoshop.
After watching multiple youtube tutorials and hours of trial and error, I finally worked out how to create my own animation!!

As stated in a previous post, I had researched for artists who use glitches in their work, and had come across Justin Bower – a portrait artist whose work revolves around our current relationship with technology. I was inspired by Bower’s work while creating my animations, reflected in my use of pattern, colour, as well as the affects I used on the images.
When exporting to save the file however, I was unable due to size restrictions on my laptop. I took a video of my screen for evidence purposes, although this problem does mean that I cannot use this technique further in my project, which is disappointing. Although the result maybe didn’t go to plan, I am proud and excited to have learned a new technique which I could possibly use in future projects.
